We’re honoured to be involved with SAFCSA London as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations. We’ll be doing a show and we can’t wait! Guests are confirmed and we’ll be joined by former Sunderland goalkeeper David Preece, The Sunderland Echo’s Phil Smith and journalist Iain Macintosh.
Full details are below from the branch itself. Also, if you’re a massive Lads fan based in London and you’re not a member of the branch then what are you waiting for?
“The London branch of the Sunderland Supporters Association is celebrating its’ 50th anniversary this year with a few events for both members and non-members.
We welcomed David Moyes, Martin Bain and Kevin Ball to the Southwark Brewery in February and are meeting with members past and present in Sunderland in April.
Our biggest night out will be on May 20th, the night before the match at Chelsea at The Knights Templar pub in Chancery Lane, London. Some of you may have been there before Wembley in 2014.
We are proud to be hosting a Wise Men Say podcast as part of the evening so, come and pick over the season with them and moan about relegation/celebrate another Great Escape. The podcast will start at 5-5.30 and is being filmed so, please try to get down to the venue early.
There will also be a few special guests on the night so, we’re hoping for a good turnout.
The event is free for London branch members and only £5 for non-members (entry includes food) so, you can’t complain about these London prices!
This is a strictly ticketed event and both members AND non-members need to register in advance by emailing londonsafc50th@hotmail.com. A ticket will be emailed to you, please print this out and bring it on the night. Non-members pay on the door but MUST have a ticket.
