CARDS on the table from the off, if there was a “Seb Larsson Appreciation Society” I’d not only be a fully paid-up member, I’d be a candidate for the Presidency. If you’re not a fan of the Swede, then it might be best to avert your eyes now, or actually read on and maybe, just maybe, change your assessment of him. I’m certainly going to try to anyway.
I know a lot of our supporters really don’t rate Larsson. I’ve been there myself. In fact, when Steve Bruce first signed him I had my doubts about his lack of pace and was concerned he’d only been brought in because he could take a set piece, with little regard to his ability to play when the ball was live.
